Chuck & Leasa Thompson, Artist Bio
While Chuck is relatively new to the art Scene, he has been a maker for over 20 years in carpentry and wood design. Chuck has been drawn to glazing and hand building with clay and incorporating wood design to pieces. When you visit the studio at their Farm, you will see Chuck’s handiwork in his building of the studio itself.
This summer, Leasa celebrates her 20-year anniversary as a Potter, although her love for pottery is first, she dabbles in watercolor and acrylic painting. This year she is taking those techniques and adding them to stoneware pottery.
The husband and wife team, has joined their creativity and brought it to their farm near Madison, Minnesota. Together they capture the beauty found in both individual and collaborative work. When you visit, you will find Chuck and Leasa’s Pottery contains a hidden cross in each piece. This is a symbol of their faith. Come in and see if you can find them.
