Deborah Meyer

I have always had an interest in art and now in my retirement I can dedicate more time to a growing passion.  I took an online class in watercolor portraits and people are my favorite subject.  My family, specifically my grandchildren, provided me with a lot of inspiration.  

My journey as a recognized artist would probably never have happened without a grant that I received from the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council.  The grant funds paid for custom framing of a series that I painted and that led to a gallery show.  

Even though I favor portraits, I love to try new mediums and learn new techniques.
