Jean Menden has been a bench silversmith for over 10 years now. She never imagined her fascination with flame, melting things, and pounding would turn into an art form.
Jean says the best part of being a silversmith/jewelry designer is imagining a finished product from raw materials. Rocks and metal can be transformed into everyday body wear with heat, hammer, and inspiration. Gems from all over the world can be found set in sterling and copper using traditional methods in my studio.
