Mary Hegland

All forms of artistic expression fascinate Mary Hegland, and she enjoys taking classes to learn new techniques or to advance in skill. Mary works in a variety of mediums, especially ones that allow her to include items not usually thought to be ‘artistic.’ These items can include things in nature; rusty metal; paper of all kinds; plastic packaging usually put in the garbage; leftover materials from household projects; and other oddities that fit her needs. Her studio space is always somewhat in chaos, as working in one medium inspires work in another one, and so on. Making art is fun and freeing; hopefully you can see that playfulness and joy can be seen in her work.
