K. Lohse and J. Berndt, Artist Bios

J. Berndt and K. Lohse are married and are full time working artists. They have been showing their work nationwide since 1990 and have received numerous awards. Both of them are proud to have their work in many corporate and international collections.

Kevin Lohse

Kevin works with wood, aluminum, corian, and found metal objects, typically mixed together. Kevin’s contemporary sculptures are geometric compositions, that play with the various wood colors contrasting with the other materials.

J. Berndt

J Berndt is a clay artist. All of her pieces are Raku fired. 

J Berndt creates highly textured wall pieces and vessels with additions of inset stones, woven reed, & metallic leaf. Each impression, scoop, or piercing is made forming the contrasting shapes and textures, which make up the patterns. NO stamps are used; each impression is made one at a time.

She grew up in Big Stone City, SD, graduated from Moorhead State University, Moorhead, MN and now reside in rural Minnesota, near Dawson.
