Talon Cavender-Wilson, Artist Bio
Talon Cavender-Wilson grew up in Granite Falls Minnesota, as a member of the Upper Sioux Reservation. After high school, he pursued his passion of creation and went to study traditional Scandinavian woodworking and blacksmithing in Sweden. He spent five years at school, two years in the woodworking department, and three in the blacksmithing. Upon completion of his education, he also received a journeyman’s certificate in Artisanal Blacksmithing.
While at school, he fell in love with the artistic side of metal working and decided that is where he wanted to set his focus.
